CUIAS Mission Statement: • To provide the best possible settlement services for newcomers including pre-arrival information and a comprehensive range of essential services in order to guide clients towards a successful long-term integration. • To work in family reunification and refugee sponsorship cases. • To create a link of Canadian Ukrainian organizations and mainstream agencies that are sensitive to newcomer needs and to build these links into partnerships between newcomers and their hosts that provides a full array of essential services for newcomers. • To work with other service providers, all bodies of government to ensure that the acceptance of newcomers is fair, equitable and reflective of Canada’s and client needs. The Canadian Ukrainian Immigrant Aid Society (currently referred to as CUIAS Immigrant Services) is a charitable community organisation founded in 1973 and incorporated in 1977. The organisation was created with a purpose of assisting immigrants with their immigration and adaptation needs in Canada.
