Toronto and the GTA has the highest number of children and youth living in low-income households. At a time when they should be learning new skills, developing and exploring their interests, and making friends, they may be struggling with food insecurity, unstable housing or homelessness, and isolation—all of which can have a life-long impact on their learning, behaviour, and health.
