HELP 1,000 MORE KIDS GET THE SUMMER THEY DESERVE
During the school year, United Way BC School’s Out after-school programming provides healthy, safe, educational activities for children in Grades 1-7 between 3 – 6 pm at BC elementary schools.
These activities are critical to a student’s emotional and social well-being, academic success, and physical health. But at the end of June, too many kids lose access to the vital out-of-school-time supports that help them grow up healthy, happy and resilient. Low-income, Indigenous, and newcomer families in underserved communities are particularly impacted.
United Way BC School’s Out Summer Program gives kids access to free or low-cost quality summer programs that improve their overall mental well-being and physical health. They get to build friendships, connect with positive role models, combat learning loss, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Together, we can help children across the province can access quality summer programs and opportunities that help them reach their full potential. Donate today:
* $50 provides three children with healthy, nutritious, culturally appropriate snacks and lunch for a day.
* $80 provides one child with a week’s worth of healthy, nutritious, culturally appropriate snacks.
* $150 gives two children a week’s worth of access to a School’s Out Summer program.
